Finding my voice

 When silence became unbearable, I found my voice and strength. When the pain weighs heavy on your heart, body and soul writing poems was my escape. I learnt how to turn my pain into poetry, find my voice, find my strength and then found my freedom. My poetry continued to help when the pain lingered on in the shadows of my memories, writing helped me to start healing.  My book is available to buy if you wish to read about my journey from controlled to freedom.

Echoes of the past

 Leaving a DV relationship is difficult but it is not the hardest part. The memories that echo, the wounds still need to heal and this path is a long gruelling one. The past lingers in the scars, the voices you can still hear and in your dreams. Healing takes time and the hardest part is having patience with yourself and the understanding that there is no quick fix.  My poems helped me and I hope will resonate with others.
